Singer-actor Aaron Yan announced on his Facebook page yesterday (Oct 24) that he will be parting ways with his management agency of 15 years, HIM International Music.
Aaron has been with the agency for almost 15 years, starting from his debut as a member of the boyband Fahrenheit in 2005.
“From my debut in 2005 till now, it’s been 15 years. Starting from the very first class to becoming a member of Fahrenheit to flying solo. I’ve been through much turmoil and chaos, rumours, and various good and bad occurrences, both big and small. All these have helped make me into the person that I am today,” he wrote in his post, reflecting on the years he spent in the entertainment industry.
He went on to thank the staff members who’ve helped him along in his journey, writing, “We have had both mutual understanding, respect, and tolerance between us, but we’ve come to the point where there’s a fork in the road before us. As the saying goes, ‘All good things must come to an end’. It’s inevitable that there will be reluctance involved when it comes to parting, but I am resolute in my decision.”
“I’ll treat the happenings of the past as a form of nourishment. The future will be what I look forward to every day when I wake up. There’ll definitely be more challenges ahead of me in the future, [but] I hope that I’ll be able to regard these challenges as a stepping stone to improvement.”
According to reports, Aaron’s contract with HIM will conclude at the end of this month. When reached for a comment, HIM would only confirm that their contract with Aaron will indeed terminate in end-October. However, they did not comment on his future plans.
