Aaron Yan Says He Is "Not Friends" With His Fahrenheit Bandmates; Admits To Hating One Of Them3/12/2020 Well, it seems the members of now-defunct Taiwanese boyband Fahrenheit have been very busy heating up the gossip mill.
Aaron Yan recently made an appearance on Dee Hsu and Kevin Tsai’s talk show Hua Hua Wan Wu 2, where he spilled some steaming hot tea about the relationship between him and his former bandmates Calvin Chen, Jiro Wang, and Wu Chun. It all started after Aaron had given a pre-recorded tour of his house, where the 34-year-old singer-actor showed off a bunch of old Fahrenheit CDs, prompting Dee to ask if he and the rest of the group are still in contact with each other. After hesitating for a few seconds, Aaron blurted out “no” with a smirk. Dee then followed up by asking if it was because he doesn’t like them, to which Aaron replied, “We don’t exactly run in the same social circles. You could say we’re not friends.” However, he quickly clarified that he wasn’t saying this to put anyone down. “I feel that there’s no need to pretend, because I’m also someone who hates pretending,” he said. “I don’t want to say that we’re friends and have to keep that lie going.” Taking things one step further, Kevin asked if it ever got to a point where Aaron felt any hatred towards his band members. “Sometimes, during certain periods,” he said matter-of-factly. “When there was fierce competition between the members, we would have different values.” When asked to elaborate, Aaron said that fans of different members would often be at loggerheads with each other. “I used to think that supporters of the same group would all get along, but that wasn’t the case,” he recalled. “So I would step forward to tell them to stop fighting, but there was another member who did nothing to discourage their behaviour.” He went on to tell a story about how their tour bus was once tailed by fans who drove so recklessly that it could have resulted in a horrible accident. “I immediately got down from the car and screamed at them, saying that they’ve crossed the line and they shouldn’t be playing with lives. As it turns out, they were all fans of that member.” So, who is this mysterious person he’s referring to? “The one I’m always involved in gossip with," he said. Although he didn't name names, many netizens came to the conclusion that he was talking about Jiro. After all, the two have been rumoured to be at loggerheads for years, though we're pretty sure after Aaron's recent comments, they probably won’t be jio-ing each other out for a meal anytime soon.
