Cube Entertainment is back in black thanks to BTOB.
The company had taken heavy hits in 2016 and in Q1 of 2017. However, with main players BTOB working hard through both Korean and Japanese promotions, the company hit black during Q2 and has grown 22% in Q3.
They released their Q3 repots on the 14th, showing that they had a sales profit of 5,630,580,000 KRW (approximately 5 million USD) and an operating profit of 1420 million KRW (approximately 127,000 USD) for the quarter. They've grown 15% in total sales since Q2 of this year.
Cube reported, "Q3's main artist BTOB's Japanese promotions and HyunA's domestic comeback brought good results and helped increase results. Our new artists growth, such as Pentagon and Yu Seon Ho, and the increase of our media contents also helped as well."
They are also predicting better results for Q4, as BTOB (described as the label's forerunning artist) hit a homerun through 2nd album 'Brother Act' and brought about the best results they had since debut. Pentagon is also coming back soon, and Yu Seon Ho's activities will also be included in Q4.
