According to Taiwanese reports, Taiwanese director Doze Niu, who was accused of sexual assault by a crew member of the film, Pao Ma, will continue to work as the film’s director.
The sexual assault accusations first came about in December last year, with the female crew member accusing Doze of sexually assaulting her while she was at his house. Since then, the fate of the movie has been unclear. Some reports have stated that the film will be cancelled, while lead actor Richie Jen shared that he is willing to take up the mantle to ensure that the film will be completed. Richie had previously shared that there are still a number of important scenes that have not been filmed yet.
However, it has since been reported that Doze will be making his return soon. The report also shared that they plan to finish filming within two months. While the two leads and the director himself will continue with their work on Pao Ma, it is said that over half of the production team will be changed.
Additionally, it was reported that the film is currently having trouble sourcing for a new location to film a pivotal marathon scene for the film, due to the negative reports surrounding Doze.
