Chanyeol posted an update on his Instagram, asking his fans to pay more attention to safety after he was unceremoniously mobbed at the airport.
It’s not everyday that a celebrity calls their fans out, so if it happens, you know that they’re being very serious about it. In Chanyeol’s post, he wrote, “To all the fans at the airport who were there to welcome me, I ask that you control yourselves. The airport is a place not just for us, but also a place for passengers, people waiting for their loved ones, children and more. If something had gone wrong today, someone’s toes instead of my slipper could have been injured instead.”
He continued with, “Although it was a situation where the people around me were shouting not to push and protecting me, there was little control over the entire situation. I’m thankful that nobody was hurt but because of what happened, I had to upload this post. I hope we can work together to avoid accidents that may happen in public places, such as airports. Thank you for always giving love to me, and I’ll always be a person who gives you love in return.”
His post was also accompanied with a photo of his ripped slipper.
