Fan Bingbing Proudly Announces She Has Not Washed Her Hair In 7 Days, And She Thinks She Can Keep Going

​Chinese actress Fan Bingbing updated her personal Weibo account with a two-minute video on Sunday night (March 15), and her post has us scratching our heads… literally.

“This is the seventh day of not washing my hair, and I feel like I can keep going,” she declared.

The short clip consists of the 38-year-old showing close-ups of her bare face and constantly running her fingers through her hair, but even her makeup-free beauty (that skin!) was not enough to take the spotlight away from her rather gross confession, with netizens quickly urging her to go for a much-needed wash.

According to Taiwanese media, this is actually not the first time Bingbing has been an advocate for going long periods of time without shampoo. She said she usually does this when she's not working as a way to let her body’s natural oils care for her tresses.

​Still, it’s an unusual habit that clearly didn’t sit well with her followers. “That is so disgusting,” wrote one netizen, while another claimed to be able to see a layer of oil on her scalp. Many also questioned why a female celebrity, especially one of Bingbing’s status, would deign to do such a thing.

On the other hand, there were some fans who voiced their support and praise for the actress, marvelling at how her hair still looks so good despite the, um, circumstances. We even found one comment saying that they’ve gone two weeks without washing their hair.
