Gigi Lai’s physical appearance shocks netizens

​Former Hong Kong actress Gigi Lai stunned many with her looks during her 47th birthday last October, when photos of her and her ageless beauty were uploaded online.

However, those words of praise turned into surprise when Gigi made an appearance at a company event earlier this month. She looked to be in good spirits and has still maintained her slim figure, but all eyes were on her face, which looked drastically different from what the public remembered it to be.

Many commented that age has caught up with her as her features looked to be drastically different from in the past, with many commenting that Gigi, as the CEO of Miricor Enterprises Holdings Limited, a medical aesthetic service provider in Hong Kong, should maintain herself better.

Others pointed out that her changed looks might have been because of how her hair was styled and makeup was done on that day, or because of the unflattering harsh lighting used at the event.

Gigi announced that she would be retiring from showbiz in 2007 after her younger brother was involved in an accident, and took on the role as the CEO of his company instead.

Fans have been asking her if she has any plans of making a comeback, but Gigi has since clarified that she has no current plans to do so.
