Here's what you need to know for the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival this year!

The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival is happening  and we would like to give you an update and overview on what to expect at the biggest carnival in Singapore, which will feature 50 rides and games from Europe and around the globe. 

Size of this year's carnival 

  • 23,000 square metres (equivalent to four football fields!)   

New Rides 

  • The Wave Swinger will be making its first appearance in Southeast Asia, featuring murals of the iconic Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands. It will also act as the centre piece of the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival.

Fast Track Pass 

  • Fast track passes are available for purchase at $30 per person for visitors who wish to skip the queues at selected rides. Passes can be purchased at the carnival's box office. 

Roving acts and performances by local artiste 

  • The Carnival will set the stage for local music acts to perform, championing the support and love for home-grown talents such as Aliff Sharil, Among Four, Benedict Jerome, Daniel Sid and more. Roving acts like balloon sculptor, circus in motion and magicians will also be entertaining the visitors. 

Prizes 

  • Over 5 million dollars’ worth of toys to be given away this year. 

More accessible pricing 

  • Prices have been made more accessible this year with rides ranging from $6 to $14 and games ranging $5 to $8. All double-digit rides from last year have now been reduced to just $9 per ride, with exception for the Mach5 which still maintains its pricing at $14.

Promotions and activities 

  • The carnival will feature an array of entertaining programmes and promotions such as food challenges, talent competitions, themed dress contests and more. Leading with its first theme ‘Future-Forward’ from 22 December 2018 to 25 January 2019, visitors who are dressed most in line with the theme will get to skip the queue and stand a chance to win bonus credits.

Details of the carnival

  • The carnival will open from 22 December 2018 to 24 March 2019, daily from 4:00pm to 11:00pm, except on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve with extended hours till 2:00am. Admission is free for all, and credits for rides and games can be purchased onsite and online via www.marinabaycarnival.sg.
