During her recent trip to Singapore for promotional activities for sponsor Asia Farm Purple Tea, Chu Hwajeong finally get her hands on Singapore’s signature dish- Chili Crab at House of Seafood.
Chu, who visited Singapore for the first time, learned that Singapore has a wide variety of food, but she said that her top list is still the famed chili crab.
“After finally tasting the famous Chili Crab, I felt really satisfied,” laughed Chu. “The sauce is tasty and rich, the spiciness is on the right note. The meat of the Sri Lanka crab goes really well with the sauce. I’ve also learnt something new today- dipping fried bun into the Chili Crab sauce.”
Local artistes Danielle Gan and Lawrence Hiew were also at House of Seafood to thank the customers for their continuous support towards House of Seafood. The duo, together with Chu, went around to give out gift vouchers to all the tables. Many customers praised Lawrence and Danielle for their close affinity with them as they have seen both of them personally at House of Seafood frequently.
Another treasure of House of Seafood- the ‘Flaming Chicken’ and the legendary ‘Flaming Chicken Dance’. Chu was particularly surprised by the ‘Flaming Chicken Dance’ by the adorable ‘Flaming Aunty’ and couldn’t hold her laughter. The climax was when the ‘Flaming Aunty’ danced together with Lawrence. That surely leave an unforgettable memory for all that night!
Although this is the first time that Chu has been to Singapore to promote a new single, she said that she is very happy to work with Lawrence and Danielle through this Singapore promotional trip. She felt that she had learnt many things from them and also hope to have opportunities to work together again in the future.
