Huang Xiaoming breaks down while talking about birth of son

​Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy welcomed their son, ‘Little Sponge’ in early January this year, after which both noticed an increased sense of responsibility together with kinder tones and personalities when speaking about their child.

During a recent filming, Xiaoming broke down in tears at the thought of his wife having to deal with the pain all by herself during childbirth and expressed that he wished he could have taken his wife’s place in the labour ward instead.

Although he did not go into much details about the birth itself, he kept emphasising that he wished it could have been him that was feeling the pain and suffering instead of his wife. He mentioned that the whole situation where seeing her in a lot of hardship, and him only being able to say that “it was not easy,” left a deep and lasting impression on him.

Other than that, the new father was all smiles and full of love for his son, despite admitting that being a parent brings along a whole lot of responsibility. His wish is to ultimately make his son proud and believes that parenting is part of the miracle of life, where one is unable to stop it once it begins.

Xiaoming and Angelababy tied the knot in 2015 after dating for six years. From the knowledge of her pregnancy up till the birth, the most that the couple have talked about were general child care life details. The actual birth process was rarely mentioned until after half a year, when Xiaoming finally let slip of some information.
