Hong Kong actor Jacky Heung and Taiwanese actress Haden Kuo are engaged! Three months after going public with their relationship, Jacky proposed to Haden on March 17 with the couple’s family and friends by their side.
Jacky is the eldest son of Hong Kong actor-turned-producer Charles Heung and Hong Jong producer Tiffany Chen, who own China Star Entertainment group. Haden is best known for her role in the hit movie, Tiny Times, which propelled her to fame in China.
Last year, Jacky and Haden both participated in the Chinese reality show, The Most Beautiful Time. On the show, Jacky and Haden’s parents both appeared for a guest appearance. While on the show, Tiffany showed her approval of Haden, calling the actress her “daughter”, and expressing her desire for Haden to be her daughter-in-law.
Haden’s father also approved of their romance, laughing that all Jacky has to do before marrying Haden is to “buy a house big enough for all (of Haden’s) pets”. He also remarked that Jacky has to “be emotionally prepared, as Haden will treat her pets better than she treats you”.
The news of their engagement was released to the public by Tiffany, who made the announcement on her Weibo account.
“It seems that paper can’t contain a fire after all. Jacky has successfully proposed to Haden at the Humble House Taipei Hotel on March 17, at 5.20pm. It’s a good thing, thus, we gratefully accept everyone’s well wishes. Both parties’ parents are overjoyed. As for the date of their wedding, that’s another joyous matter, (I) hope for it to be soon!,” she wrote.
