Back in February, Hongkong actress Jacqueline Wong set tongues wagging when she was photographed shopping with a man many thought was engaged to another woman. It lead to suspicions that she has gotten into yet another Andy Hui-like cheating scandal but after the news was published, the man in the photos, RubberBand drummer Lai Man Wang, came forward to clarify that he and his ex-fiancée are no longer together. Jacqueline also explained that Man Wang is “just a friend with experience taking care of dogs” and that she asked for his help as she had recently adopted a puppy named Love.

It’s been four months since, and it looks like the two of them are still bonding over their pets. A few days ago, Hongkong media spotted Jacqueline meeting up with Man Wang at a veterinary clinic with her fur kid. The pair then left together, and Jacqueline told the paparazzi that she had sent Love to get sterilised.

When asked when she will resume work, the 31-year-old refrained from answering and climbed into a minivan with Man Wang, who didn’t even bother hiding the fact that he was accompanying her home. However, he only stayed for about half an hour before leaving.

Needless to say, their outing has raised questions about the real nature of their relationship once again. According to reports, Man Wang’s bandmates all reminded him to be careful around Jacqueline, but he seems to have disregarded their advice and is happy spending time with her.

Yesterday reporters contacted Jacqueline again to ask her if romance is blossoming between her and Man Wang (especially since her ex-boyfriend Kenneth Ma has gone public with Roxanne Tong a.k.a. the actress who replaced her in Forensic Heroes IV). She replied, “No comment. I’ve answered this before. Thank you for your concern!” Man Wang, on the other hand, ignored the messages.

Despite all that she’s been through over the past 14 months, Jacqueline is trying to stay positive, at least from what we can see on her socials. In the wee hours of this morning (Jun 16), she shared a screenshot of an inspirational passage along with this caption: “My sister sent me this. And lately I’ve been receiving a lot of messages asking me if I’m ok (sic). This quite summarises it. Thank you and don’t worry, life only gets better.”

To sum it up, the quote says that it is inevitable to face adversities in life, but one must not complain nor avoid them ‘cos they act as a good “filter” to determine who really loves you and would be willing to go through hardships with you.

We suppose that means Man Wang has been established as one of those people in Jacqueline’s life?
