Jeon Somi to promote without an agency

Jeon Somi and JYP Entertainment earlier confirmed that the singer will be leaving the company. This week, however, Somi shared that she will not be working with any agency and that her activities will be managed by her father.

Last month, JYP Entertainment issued a press release stating that they reached an agreement with former I.O.I member Somi to nullify their contract with her, and both parties shared that they had parted on good terms.

All eyes were on Somi to see where she would go next, but it appears that she will be flying solo for now as she confirmed this week that she will be managed by her father, Matthew Douma. He will be in charge of her schedule, along with promotional activities for now, and there have also been no reports of her discussing a potential contract with any agency.
