Everyone knows Taiwanese actor Jimmy Lin loves his fast cars. And it turns out, his younger brother, Lin Zhixin is just as passionate about cars. So much so that the 41-year-old has been a cast member of Taiwanese motoring show Di Qiu Huang Jin Xian for the past three years.

In a recent interview, Zhixin said that he had wanted to invite Jimmy, 45, on the show but it didn’t happen because of the current COVID-19 situation.

Speaking more about his relationship with the star, Zhixin went on to reveal that he feels “awkward” whenever he gets referred to as “Jimmy Lin’s younger brother” ‘cos already he’s so “old”.

But that’s not the worst part.

“Do you know what’s even more awkward? When people think that I'm his older brother! They would say to me 'You are the one that sells cheong fun?” he laughed. In case you didn't know, Jimmy is the second oldest out of five siblings while Zhixin is the third. Their oldest brother Zhijie recently made the news when he downsized his immensely popular cheong fun stall.

Zhixin, who's full-time job is in construction, said that at the height of Jimmy's fame in the '90s, the brothers would often get surrounded by fans when they were out. And even then, he had already been mistaken as the older sibling.

"Yes, I do feel upset sometimes but my older brother is not normal. He is ageless. I will age,” Zhixin joked.

Zhixin also said that the life of a star isn’t really as glam as what people imagine it to be.

"I've worked with my brother on a few occasions. The life of an actor is very hard. Because they’re famous, they have less privacy,” he said.

When asked if he would want to follow in Jimmy’s footsteps, he humbly said no because he's "not as funny as other celebs and so [he] would give others the opportunity to shine." He also said that stars are born and not made, "just like the size of one's head". He then joked that his head is "too big" unlike Dylan Kuo, JJ Lin and Taiwanese politician Enoch Wu.

Being an idol, Zhixin says, takes a ton of effort, which is why he really admires Jimmy.

“He controls his diet and maintains his body well. When Jimmy eats, he only eats a third of his lunch. I feel sorry for him!" revealed Zhixin. “You can’t drink, you have to eat very little… It’s so inconvenient! But he doesn’t have a choice ‘cos he’s a celeb. For me, I would like to have more 'variety' in my meals."
