 Malaysian artiste JY Khor recently visited Uncle Louis Famous Chicken Rice at Zion Riverside Food Centre. The owner, commonly known as Uncle Louis by many, had 24 years of experience in perfecting cooking chicken rice. JY was in love with Uncle Louis' steamed chicken as he loves the juicy and tender chicken meat which makes a smooth biting texture.  The rice was also cooked to perfection, with each grain absorbing the essence of the chicken stock and fried garlic and ginger. It gave off a really nice fragrance and makes you want eating more. Another highlight of Uncle Louis Famous Chicken Rice is its chilli sauce. Made daily to ensure its freshness and taste, the chilli sauce really hits the taste bud with its right amount of spiciness and sourness from the limes. A perfect match with the chicken and rice. Uncle Louis specially prepared his skilled dish- porridge. Initially, the bowl of porridge looks normally decent, with just dashes of fried garlic and sesame oil. Upon tasting the porridge, a burst of flavours emerged, filling the taste bud with fireworks.  A dish that looked so normal but pack a punch, the porridge is so silky smooth it can glide down the throat without chewing. Steamed chicken is accompanied with the porridge to enhance the taste even further.
A delicacy which must not be missed, Uncle Louis Famous Chicken Rice sells out on many days. Do go early to make sure you will be able to taste the best chicken rice.
