Slightly over a month after it was announced that Hongkong actor Kevin Cheng and his wife, TVB actress Grace Chan, are expecting their second child, the couple have revealed their baby’s gender.
Grace made the happy news known on Instagram, where she posted about her bee-themed baby shower (she called it a Ba-Bee Shower), which also doubled up as a gender reveal party.
“Pure happiness,” the 29-year-old actress wrote. “Who knew that there’ll be a second baby shower so soon? Other than using the words 'super grateful' to express how i feel about everyone’s support, help and love... wait, wait, wait, I really don’t know what else to say! I really love you guys!... Once again, thank you for having fun with me that day! What a fun and meaningful way to announce that “It’s a boy!” Me and my husband can’t wait for the little brother to arrive. Most important, he must be healthy and be like his elder brother, who is loved by everyone. Haha!”
In the snaps, the mother-to-bee (geddit?) was captured holding a huge balloon which had the words “Boy or Girl” printed on it. Grace then burst it to reveal tiny blue balloons, meaning that she and Kevin are having another boy. Their first son Rafael is one this year, while their second kid, who is nicknamed Baby Y, is said to be due in September or October.
However, the first person to reveal Baby Y’s gender wasn’t Grace, though. It was Hongkong actor Ruco Chan’s wife, Phoebe Sin, who took the liberty of sharing photos and Instastories from the party a day before Grace posted it on her own socials. Spoiler, much?
Fortunately, Grace was um, gracious enough to leave a comment on Phoebe’s post, thanking her for coming to the party.
