After hit TV drama series Goblin, Kim Go-eun is back as a wild country girl in Sunset in My Hometown, directed by Lee Joon-ik. Set in a rural rown, the movie revolves around an unsuccessful rapper and his childhood friend, played by Go-eun.
To put up a realistic performance of a country girl. the 27-year-old actress shared that she learned a dialect and gained eight kilograms for the character. She sought tips from the locals in order to perfect her dialect and engaged a coach too..
After further discussion with the director, she put in "extra care" to apppear as plain and ordinary as possible, shared Go-eun, "Like any girl we can see around us."
Sunset in My Hometown also stars Park Jung-min, Jang Hang-sun and Go Joon.
