Michelle Yim, 64, and Patrick Tse, 83, Look So Young For Their Age, Netizens Say They Must Be "Eating Preservatives”
Popular TVB police crime drama Forensic Heroes IV is back for its fourth run, nine years after its last installment in 2011.
It hasn't been an easy journey getting the drama on screen. And it's because of scandal-tainted actress Jacqueline Wong, who was one of the stars of the show. After her cheating scandal with Andy Hui made her the most-hated woman in Hongkong, producers decided to recast actress Roxanne Tong in Jacqueline's role and the drama had to be reshot as a result, causing massive delays to its telecast date. But we guess it was all worth the wait, especially for fans of the series.
Less than an hour after the show’s premiere three days ago (Feb 17), Forensic Heroes IV quickly became one of Weibo's trending topics.
While the drama stars Raymond Wong and Selena Lee, fans were also excited to see Michelle Yim and Patrick Tse, who both had cameo roles in the show. The veteran stars were last onscreen together 24 years ago in 1996 ATV drama King of Gamblers.
However, this time they didn't play a couple. Instead, Michelle is a famous Cantonese opera star, while Patrick plays the founder of her troupe.
Fans were blown away by how young 64-year-old Michelle looked in the show, especially in Cantonese opera make-up. "She doesn't look like a senior citizen at all," said one netizen.
Then there's 83-year-old Patrick, whose age-defying looks has long wowed viewers. And seeing the youthful duo onscreen again has led netizens to believe that the stars "must be eating preservatives".
Sounds gross but surely, there has to be a reason right?
