Rainie Yang and Li Ronghao’s relationship has warmed the cockles of everyone's heart. They dated for five years before announcing their engagement on July 11 last year, which happened to be Ronghao’s 34th birthday. Two months later, Rainie and Ronghao announced that they had registered their marriage.
However, they barely had time to enjoy life together as a newlywed couple before they had to return to work — Rainie is based in Taiwan, while Ronghao is in China. And then, the COVID-19 pandemic happened, further separating the two lovebirds.
This meant that Rainie had to spend her 36th birthday, which falls on June 4, without her husband. While Ronghao made sure to keep to his tradition of wishing his missus a happy birthday on his socials, and even prepared a lavish surprise for Rainie, it couldn’t exactly make up for his absence.
In her post thanking everyone for wishing her a happy birthday, Rainie uploaded a picture taken with Ronghao and her beloved pet pooch Yumi, writing that she hoped for “everyone to be able to fly about freely, to see their loved ones” in the near future.
One month later, it seems that Rainie has finally run out of patience. On July 3, the 36-year-old made a post on her Instagram Story, writing: “Today's the 100th day [since I last saw Ronghao], we’ve been apart for too long,” along with a Memoji of herself crying.
Hang in there, Rainie!
