Selina Jen: Who would dare control my spending?

Selina Jen attended a fashion event in Taipei. When asked if she has ever needed to seek anyone's permission or approval before making a big purchase, she responded without hesitation, "Who would dare to control me? I just bought five pairs of shoes online!"

Explaining her answer, she said, "From the time I started working and earning my own money, I loved to reward myself for certain achievements. I used to be more frugal because my mum was the one managing my finances at that time, so I did not know how much I earned."

The singer-actress went on to reveal that it was only after she launched her own company that she realised she was making enough money to spend however she liked. "You could say I started gaining more control over my life and finances this year, and I feel like I have a greater peace of mind because of that," she said.
