The Korean singer Chu Hwajeong, who was invited to Singapore to conduct a series of promotional events, was invited down to City Hot Pot for a meal and also fan meeting. The hot pot meal and the enthusiasm of the fans made Chu overjoyed.
Chu was joined by local artistes Lawrence Hiew and Danielle Gan at the hot pot store. Both Lawrence and Danielle played a very good host to Chu, as they visited City Hot Pot a couple of times before. They recommended the dishes to order and tips to choose Yuan Yang soup pot so that one could try two soup bases at one time.
Chu, who has always liked to eat hot pot, was amazed at the clean environment and the concept of one person and one pot. Looking at the wide selection of 12 soup bases, Chu was left distress over deciding. But after some thoughts, she chose the signature 'Milk Fish soup' and 'Korean Kimchi soup'.
Chu was amazed after trying the milk fish soup. “The Milk Fish soup is thick and flavorful. It fits my taste bud really well. The Korean Kimchi soup is very authentic and I’m sure many Koreans will like it too. I’ve never thought of using Kimchi soup as hot pot soup base. It is certainly a fresh idea to bring back home,” explained Chu.
The boss of City Hot Pot had a great time interacting with all the artistes that day. He was happy that Chu liked their hot pot and was even surprised to hear later that Chu actually wanted to visit City Hot Pot again on her last day in Singapore to enjoy a second time. “I was really glad that Chu like our hot pot. Now I have 3 artistes, including Lawrence and Danielle, who shown their support for City Hot Pot and these pushes us to do our best for our patrons!”
Chu, Lawrence and Danielle would like to thank City Hot Pot for treating them the wholesome meal which will definitely bring back many sweet memories.
