Super Junior has sold out their two-day Super Show 7 in Seoul concert in nine minutes. The group, which kicked off their previous concert tour, Super Show 6 in September 2014, recently made their comeback with their eighth Korean studio album Play earlier this month.
It has been confirmed that they will add a third concert on December 15 to accommodate more fans. Tickets for this additional day are slated to go on sale on November 28.
With youngest members Kyuhyun and Ryeowook still serving their mandatory military service, there will be missing faces who will have to sit out of their first concert in over two years. Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk and Donghae were present for their Play promotions, and are expected to be part of the upcoming tour.
The group recently went on a home shopping channel to sell long padded coats after Eunhyuk declared that they would do so if their physical album sales surpassed 200,000 copies. After going on the show, all 15,000 sets of the winter wear was also sold out, which is a testament to the group’s long-lasting popularity.
Label SJ and S.M. Entertainment have yet to confirm if Siwon, who is currently busy with his drama, Revolutionary Love, will be able to be a part of Super Show 7. The singer-actor was previously embroiled in controversy after his pet dog, Bugsy, bit someone living in the same apartment complex as his family, and the victim ultimately passed away from a secondary infection. Siwon has apologised and taken full responsibility, but public opinion remains largely critical of him and his family.
It was previously confirmed that Kangin and Sungmin would be sitting out of their Play promotions.
Their previous tour, Super Show 6, had a total of 22 shows in cities such as Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing and Taipei.
