Taiwanese Actress Ouyang Nana Has Joined Taobao And Was Said To Be Earning S$205,000 A Year3/25/2020 Is Taiwanese actress and cellist Ouyang Nana already considering a career direction change at the tender age of 19?
Chinese e-commerce giant Taobao on Sunday (March 22) introduced Nana as their “new colleague” and “partner stylist”, complete with a photo of her staff pass. Nana also announced it on her Weibo page, asking her followers to search for her specially curated looks on the site. According to reports, Nana has been working hard to juggle her time between her new role and her second-year studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. When she’s not busy with school, she sometimes stays up to work until the wee hours of the morning. Nana is also reportedly in charge of Taobao’s apparel operations. Insiders had claimed that, together with her fee as a brand ambassador, she could be earning over 1mil yuan (S$205,000) a year. However, Taobao reps have since come forward to debunk those rumours, clarifying that Nana doesn’t actually have a fixed salary. What Taobao did confirm is that they will be embarking on more collaborations with Nana, including livestream broadcasts where viewers will be able to get a closer glimpse at her lifestyle and fashion choices. Nana has always been considered a style icon, with fans paying close attention to the brands she’s wearing in her vlogs so they can dress just like her. “With Ouyang Nana onboard Taobao Live, there will be a more direct channel for her to share her style influence with fans,” said the company.
