While most teenagers would hate to have their parents around at work telling them what to do, 14-year-old Elly Hsu appears to wholeheartedly welcome the help of her mother, Taiwanese host Dee Hsu.
Chinese fashion label Jorya recently released a behind-the-scenes look at a recent photo shoot with Elly, who is the face of the brand, and we have to say: For someone who is so young, she's killing it.
We guess that comes from having good genes and a good teacher, both of which are courtesy of her superstar mum, who was on the set of the shoot to make sure everything turned out perfectly.
In the pictures and a short clip shared by Jorya, Dee can be seen instructing Elly on how to pose, gently praising and encouraging her daughter along the way, and very intently checking to see how the photos turned out.
The 41-year-old is known to be very protective of Elly and her other two daughters, 12-year-old Lily and eight-year-old Alice. She previously said that would rather not have them follow in her footsteps because she isn’t sure if they’d be able to survive the notoriously tough world of showbiz, but it looks like she’s changed her mind and has nothing to worry about.
Since Elly made her modelling debut, she’s been lauded for her proportions and sophisticated “world-weary face”, which is ideal for high fashion editorials.
In fact, the pupil appears to have surpassed the master, if netizens’ comments are anything to go by.
“Daughter is out to steal mother’s rice bowl!” quipped one, while another remarked, “[Elly is] more beautiful than her mother.” Um, we’re not sure how the famously confident Dee would respond to that, but something also tells us she wouldn’t mind.
