Famed as Singapore’s Eddie Peng, local artiste Jaze Phua was trapped in lift for almost 3 hours while filming the drama “Dead Lucky”. The drama was a production with Toggle SG and Jaze’s popularity has since risen by the number of commercial advertisements he was invited to.
During interview, Jaze shared with us about the fighting scene inside the lift. The stunt crews by Ronin Action Group requires the actors to rehearse for 2 hours at 2am. When the filming starts at 4am, a breakdown in electricity supply caused the whole team to be trapped in the lift for nearly 3 hours. Jaze expressed that a total of 10 people were trapped inside the small area, causing the air supply to deplete really fast. To make matter worse, the emergency button was malfunctioned. They were ultimately rescued by the building’s security thanks to his situation awareness.
Jaze joked that they were ‘dead lucky’ as they did not meet with any paranormal activities during the shortage of electricity. He also indicates that he wished to be part of more works that has paranormal essence. When asked if he will continue to hone his acting skills, Jaze promised that he will definitely do his best whenever there are any scripts that suit him.
