Last year, TWICE held their first concert, TWICE 1st Tour: TWICELAND The Opening in Singapore at The Star Theatre. All the tickets - almost 5,000 of them - were snapped up shortly after they went on sale, which left many of their ONCE (TWICE’s official fan club) disappointed as they were unable to score entry into the show.
Fast forward a year later and TWICE has made good on their promise to return to Singapore to meet their ONCE as Singapore is officially the first South-East Asian stop on the nonet’s TWICELAND ZONE 2: Fantasy Park tour.
Greeting the media at a press conference held at the Grand Hyatt a day before their concert, TWICE looked as fresh-faced as ever despite having only landed in Singapore a day before. Perhaps the secret to their peppy mood was their delicious dinner they had after they landed, as Sana and Momo gushed not just about the chilli crab, but the fried mantou that they love dipping into the sauce.
The press conference, which lasted 20 minutes, saw the girls answering questions about their travel habits, along with the group’s song recommendations when it comes to helping their fans pick up Korean.
“We have this song called ‘You In My Heart’. I think the lyrics are really well written and it's a very lovely song so I think fans can learn a lot from the lyrics if they can understand it well,” Tzuyu shared.
Jihyo added, “I'd choose the song ‘What Is Love?’ because if you look at the lyrics itself, there are many simple words that we use in everyday life. That's why when you learn that song and understand more about it, then it will be easier and faster for you to catch Korean words.
