Korean actors Hwang Jung Min, So Ji Sub and Song Joong Ki director Ryu Seung Wan of The Battleship Island set sail for their first overseas promotional pit stop in Singapore, first meeting the media at a press conference held at Marina Bay Sands. Following which, they popped by Suntec City for a public meet and greet session before blitzing back to Marina Bay Sands for the movie’s gala premiere.
Phew. If that doesn’t sound tiring enough, by the time you’re reading this, the cast and crew are likely on the way to - or have even arrived in - Kuala Lumpur, where they will be conducting a similar tour today (August 9).
Given the star power of this ensemble, it’s no wonder that their every movement was made public through live feeds on social media, giving those at home (or thousands of miles away in a distant continent) a glimpse of the goings on of the day.

These two actors may be top stars, but there’s none of that rivalry that is said to plague those at the top between these two. When asked about what you should anticipate the most about the movie, this pair first joked that you should look forward to each other’s appearance in the movie before they gave their actual answers.
For the record, they mentioned that spreading the word about the happenings on battleship island is the main reason why they participated in the project, adding that awareness of the atrocities that occured in that corner of the world during World War II not been made known as freely as other happenings.
