Jun Ji Hyun. Gianna Jun. Cheon Song Yi. Whatever name you call her by (the latter is her character from her career-resurging role in 2013’s You Who Came from the Stars), we believe fans can all probably agree on two things: she is a bona fide Hallyu goddess (that aura), and it feels like way too long since her last project, 2016’s Legend of the Blue Sea.
Of course, her absence from screens both big and small is completely understandable: in January this year, the 36-year-old gave birth to her second child, another boy, with her banker husband Choi Joon Hyuk.
But we have good news. Ji Hyun was in town to fulfil brand ambassador duties for K-beauty label Hera, which has opened its first flagship boutique in Singapore at ION Orchard. The actress first attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of the store itself, and then held a brief media conference at ION Sky, where she shared about her favourite cosmetic products and her secret to her youthful glow (more on that later).
Then, about an hour later, she made another appearance after a fashion show and live makeup demonstration, where she answered a few more questions. One of the queries from the host was, “What can fans expect from you next year?”
Ji Hyun happily revealed that there are most certainly plans for new productions and shows. “I cannot share too much at this point, but I will definitely be returning very soon to meet all of you through a new show, so please look out for that,” she smiled.
We already can’t wait.
