Yoo Jae Suk, the Korean host of the wildly popular variety show Running Man, was recently injured whilst filming the latest episode of the show, which was aired recently.
The episode, which included special guests such as Korean singer Son Dam Bi, comedian Lee Guk Joo, actress Seo Eun Soo and Nine Muses’s Kyungri, had a segment where Jae Suk, as well as the guests, must compete against each other.
The battle took place in a large washing tub, with the aim of the game being to lift one’s opponent out of the tub. However, during the segment, Jae Suk took a fall, and fell head-first on to the edge of the tub, injuring his forehead.
Although the production staff had laid out a number of soft mats around the tub to prevent injury, the impact of the 45-year-old’s fall had him clutching his head in pain, with a troubled expression on his face.
Fellow hosts Lee Kwang Soo and Jeong So Min also clustered around him in worry, but, after a while, Jae Suk raised up his hand, indicating that he was fine.
According to reports, Jae Suk headed to the doctors that very day, and was advised by the doctor on duty that he’ll need three stitches for the wound, as it was a facial injury. As a result, he decided to continue on with filming after slapping on a bandage, joking and laughing with the guests as per normal, showing his professionalism.
During filming, he also allowed Guk Joo to draw an eyebrow on the bandage, poking fun at himself by declaring that he no longer had a left eyebrow.
