Last week, reports alleging that Chinese actor Feng Shaofeng was cheating on his wife of less than a year, Chinese actress Zanilia Zhao, started surfacing.
According to the reports, an anonymous Weibo user had posted up screenshots of a conversation with a friend, who appeared to be seeking advice due to her relationship with a married man.
In the chat, the female had used the initials "FSF" in her texts, and had referenced a Chinese name similar to Zanilia’s as well. As a result, many believed that Shaofeng was cheating on Zanilia.
The actor’s work studio later released a statement denying the reports, and threatened legal action against further rumourmongers.
Last Friday (Aug 16), new - and happier - reports emerged claiming that Zanilia and Shaofeng intend to hold a wedding ceremony in Bali, Indonesia later this year. The couple did not hold a wedding ceremony when they got hitched last year, simply heading over to the registry office to register their marriage instead.
It was reported that their wedding ceremony will be held on October 16 this year, which is also Zanilia’s birthday. An insider also shared that Shaofeng has been in touch with wedding vendors in Bali, and that they are currently arranging for a pre-wedding photoshoot. Shaofeng is reportedly willing to go all out for the ceremony in order to get a picture-perfect wedding.
The couple registered their marriage in October last year, with Zanilia confirming that she was pregnant in January this year. Two months later, she gave birth to their son, and has been on maternity leave since then. The actress is said to be getting ready to return to work later this month.
