Fan Bingbing Writes Emo Post Supposedly About Late Japanese Actor Haruma Miura, Gets Attacked By Netizens Instead
On July 18, popular Japanese actor Haruma Miura was found dead in his home in Tokyo in a suspected suicide. The actor, who was 30, is best known for his work in projects like 2015 movie Attack on Titan and the 2013 drama Last Cinderella.
On the same day, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing uploaded an emo post on her Weibo, writing: “Striving to stay strong and live on”.
Some netizens believed that the 38-year-old actress was affected by the news of Haruma’s passing, as the duo had met each other at a fashion event three years ago. They rushed to comfort the actress in the comments section, as Bingbing rarely posts such emo content on her socials.
“What's wrong,” a fan asked, while another wrote: “We love you forever,” cheering the actress on.
However, other netizens weren’t so kind with their words. Some of them started attacking Bingbing, asking the actress to “stop putting on an act”. They also accused her of trying to rebuild her image after getting caught evading taxes in 2018.
“Why are you always acting up whenever something happens,” another catty netizen questioned.
Their comments were quickly criticised by other netizens, who asked for everyone to be “more understanding of each other” in times like these.
