Mr.Children reveal dramatic animated Music Video for “himawari”

Back in July, popular rock band Mr.Children released their 37th single – “himawari” – which went on to top the Oricon Single chart during its week of release.  Now, over a month later, the group have finally published the lead track’s music video to their Youtube channel.

himawari’s MV strives to bring the world of the song’s lyrics to life, telling the dramatic story of a pair of robots whom are star-crossed lovers.  This special animated PV was born from the mind of frequent collaborator Kouki Tange, who served as the clip’s creative director, and was directed by Toshiaki Hanzaki, who has supervised the group’s animation-related videos (“Hana no Nioi“, “Joutoku“) in the past.
