Netizens Say This Frontline Nurse Was More Excited To Receive Eddie Peng’s Autograph Than To See His Wife
Are we surprised that Taiwanese heartthrob Eddie Peng is such a big a hit among frontline medical workers?
First, it was this Hubei nurse who Eddie promised to hug once the COVID-19 pandemic is over. Now, it’s a male nurse named Li, who requested for Eddie’s autograph as a reward for fighting the virus on the frontline.
Just like this Wuhan nurse, Li, who worked in a Shandong hospital, got creative with his protective suit, writing Eddie’s name on it instead of his own. He then recorded a video, saying: “After all this is done, I hope I can get an autograph from Eddie Peng!”
His video soon caught the attention of Eddie himself, who left a comment under Li’s post.
"Hello, I have watched your video many times. I am very touched. Thank you for fighting this battle. You have a strong and brave heart. You are very remarkable for facing such difficult times. Besides your patients, you’ve also given me strength. I want to learn from you, " the 37-year-old actor wrote.
When Li was finally discharged from his duties a few days ago, his wife surprised him with — you guessed it — a photograph of Eddie signed by the man himself. Li, who has been a fan of the actor for nine years, screamed in excitement and happily showed off the gift to the cameras.
“Wow! It’s Eddie’s signature! It’s really him! I finally have it!” exclaimed Li. “I would like to thank Eddie for his warm gesture. I can’t believe he really sent it to me. I will continue to like him for giving me encouragement.”
Li’s reaction touched the hearts of many.
“He’s hugging his wife but he’s constantly talking about Eddie!” one netizen joked, while other netizens said that he was more excited to receive the autograph than to see his wife.
Well, it's Eddie Peng we're talking about here, right?
