Sammi Cheng spending more time with pet cat at home

Hong Kong singer Sammi Cheng is spending more time with her pet cat Mike now that social distancing measures are in place in the city, reported China Press.

The 47-year-old posted photos of her and her cat, whom she calls Fat Mike, on Instagram over the weekend.

One of the photos showed Mike pushing Cheng's face away as she attempted to kiss him.

"Fat Mike understands that the Covid-19 outbreak has yet to end and that we can't be careless," she posted.

Cheng is one of the most prominent singers in Hong Kong, having sold more than 25 million albums in her 30-year career.

​Last year, her husband, singer Andy Hui, 52, got caught in a scandal after he was caught kissing 30-year-old actress Jacqueline Wong at the back of a taxi.

Cheng has since forgiven him and urged fans to respect her decision.
